Herdview™

The past 30 years of technology development have pushed the development in society forward. Computers höst10 050and the internet have changes human behavior, ways of working and communicate. Within reindeer herding increased efficiency have primarily been achieved by motorized vehicles (snowmobiles, motorcycles, cars and helicopters) but by large the work is performed in a traditional manner. Changes in our society demand that the reindeer business are given the opportunity to adapt and evolve in similar ways as other parts of our society. The lack of access to mobile data communication is however limited in wast areas where herding is in operation. Tannak offers solutions for herders to solve these challenges.

The concept

With  Herdview™ by Tannak you will take control of your herd. You can identify, monitor and track individuals and groups with modern technology. We partner with ESRI for geographical information.

The herd is monitored remotely and you will be able to be notified should your animals move into dangerous areas which might require actions on your behalf. With Herdview™ you will not need to scan vast areas to locate your animals only log on to your computer or smartphone and you will find their location.

Time consuming and labor intense work often requiring vehicles can be reduced and hence also the environmental impact. Your efforts in the field can be optimized and become more effective and you will be able to invest your time where best needed.

The Solution

Tannak’s tracking technology is targeted to operate in areas with limited or non-existent mobile networks. With the use of our own base stations the information is collected and transferred to our servers. Our monitoring system is a cloud based solution which can be accessed via a computer, smartphone or tablet.
