Equip the animals with GPS-collar.
Áhkká GPS-collar. A radio transmitter/receiver with GPS that are designed to collect information about the animal movement and position. The collar has a range between 30-50 km depending in the terrain.
When a GPS-collar is within reach of a base station it will transfer the information on an hourly basis. Should the animal move out of coverage the collar will keep recoding positions up to 177 days in it’s memory so once back you will be able to view where it has been in it’s absence. The information is updated every hour in OnTrack.
